AASP Fellow status can be awarded to AASP members who have made outstanding scientific contributions to Asian Social Psychology. Contributions in education, application, and work for AASP may be considered as well. AASP Fellow is a lifelong title.

At the 2022 AGM, the AASP approved forming a committee chaired by Prof. Susumu Yamaguchi to start the process of selecting AASP Fellows. Other committee members included Fanny Cheung and Colleen Ward. The members of this inaugural AASP Fellows Committee consist of the first AASP Fellows, appointed on the basis of their sustained and excellent contributions to the advancement of Asian social psychology.
