Submit by Feb 2 to ICLASP19 and the AASP symposium
AASP has a longstanding relationship with the International Association of Language and Social Psychology. This includes the opportunity for a guaranteed symposium showcasing the work of AASP scholars at the International Conference on Language and Social Psychology (ICLASP). ICLASP 2026 is being held in Tuscon Arizona, USA from May 19-22, 2026 (see https://sites.google.com/view/iclasp19-tucson/home). AASP symposium speakers will receive a registration fee waiver.
We invite members who wish to be considered for the AASP symposium at ICLASP to submit a 250-300 word abstract to Prof Liz Jones (symposium organiser) at liz.jones@unimelb.edu.au. Abstracts will be assessed for quality, as well as the relevance for an ICLASP audience. Please only submit your abstract if your research is relevant (see https://www.ialsp.org/home re IALSP research areas). Abstracts will be assessed by a team of IALSP scholars. Also submit your abstract as a regular speaker for the conference by their deadline, as the AASP symposium will include a max of 4 speakers.
Due date: February 2, 2026 (late submissions will not be considered)
Outcome notified: February 21, 2026

Members of the Asian Association of Social Psychology are warmly invited to join the International Association of Language and Social Psychology in Tucson, Arizona, USA for the 19th International Conference on Language and Social Psychology (ICLASP19), hosted at the University of Arizona. Be part of a long tradition of collaboration between AASP and IALSP!
ICLASP19–Tucson will feature engaging scholarship and dialogue at the intersection of language, communication, and social psychology, bringing together an international community of researchers and practitioners. With a strong program already in place and growing global interest, we are pleased to announce a special second call for poster presentations and 3×5 interactive sessions, offering additional opportunities to share innovative and emerging work.
