Introduction

Roomana N. Siddiqui, is Professor of Psychology at Aligarh Muslim University. She is a social psychologist interested in exploring the cultural underpinnings of social phenomenon. She obtained her doctorate from the Centre for Advanced Study in Psychology, University of Allahabad, Allahabad, India. She is interested in exploring issues of group identity and the implication it has for intergroup relations. Further her research in environmental psychology helps in understanding the human environment dynamics and its impact on wellbeing.
She is an Associate Editor of Psychological Studies.
